Only Tyr was brave enough to feed and take care of Fenris. From the giants Odin also got the mead of poetry. He mixes up Mimir and Kvaser, misspells the Teutonic Tiw as Tiwaz, seems obsessed with 'proving' a relationship between the Norse Gods and the Indian pantheon, and worse, seems to revel in self-glorifying "notes" which often take up more space than his pathetic and limited retellings of the myths themselves.

I suggested that it influenced the poet's description of the creation (Note 1) and here the influence seems equally marked and possibly more specific. and kingdom against kingdom. Much of it was passed from generation to generation by the Vikings, however by the time of the 11th century, the mythology was recorded in writings known as the Poetic Edda and the Prose Edda, as well as the saga of the old Norse kings called Heimskringla.
