Joel Johnson, one of Canada’s most electrifying guitarists, hits the stage at Jet Hall for Saturday Nite Blues.  And this time, Joel is recording the performance for a live CD release.  Be part of the audience as Joel rips through some great blues tunes and lays them down for future listening.

Joel has won a Canadian Aboriginal Music Award for best blues album of the year and was nominated for best new blues artist at Canada’s Maple Blues Awards.  If you like power blues, this is an experience you just can’t miss.

April 16 – The Pappy Johns Band

PappyIf you’re ready for what’s been called, “Fabulously Bad-ass Blues” then Jet Hall is the place to be when the Pappy Johns Band takes the stage on April 16th.

The Pappy Johns Band is a 6-time Canadian Aboriginal Music Award Winner and JUNO nominated blues band.

They’ve represented the Grand River Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and have played every major music festival around.   Led by vocalist/guitarist  Joshua Arden Miller, this 4 piece blues band of experienced musicians will rock the dance floor with smokin’ hot blues tunes.

TG AND THE SWAMPBUSTERS will invade The Jet Hall for Saturday Nite Blues on March 26th.

With a gritty, powerful voice,  guitar slinger Tim Gibbons and the Swampbusters will bring you  an evening of funky, swampy blues.  Following the release of their latest cd, Swamptooth Comb, the group has captured a loyal following in Hamilton and you’ll want to join the action.  They’re working on a new cd and maybe, just maybe, we’ll hear some of their new tunes.

March 12 – Andre Bisson Blues Salute to the Beatles

ANDREHailing from Hamilton, Andre Bisson brings a very special show to Jet Hall.   Following the w ildly successful cd release party for his sixth cd, Left With The Blues, Andre and his award- winning band of talented musicians will be bringing you a Blues Salute to the Beatles.

This past summer Andre Bisson was honoured to play at The Cavern Club in Liverpool for Beatle Week.  Andre accepted the challenge of arranging classical Beatle tunes into his own special brand of blues.  The show was a huge success at the Cavern and he’s bringing it to Saturday Nite Blues. It promises to be a night of classic Beatlemania Bluesmania.

Feb 27 – Sonny Del-Rio

Sonny Del-Rio and The Five-Star Revue are pumped and ready to rock Jet Hall.   Sonny’s a well know Hamiltonian who’s been knocking out his own special brand of music for over 50 years and is a 3 time winner of best sax player in Canada.

The Five-Star Revue, features Sonny’s long-time band-mate Danny Thomas on guitar,  Paul Pancezak  on drums and the lovely, vivacious Catherine Goodrick sharing the spotlight on lead vocals. Together Sonny and The Five Star Revue will rip up the stage with a dynamic jumping and  jiving  show that will get you out of your seat and  keep you dancin’.

The Bucket List Band is an 8-piece powerhouse blues band that hails from Hamilton.  They’re an alt-blues horn ensemble that has been called genre-busting blues.  Bucket List features the music of seasoned veterans who know how to knock out a tune.    With four rhythm and 4 horns, it adds up to a wall of sound that will take Jet Hall by storm.

Bucket List has packed venues wherever they appear and captures a fan base that loves to dance.  And they deliver what’s needed to get you up on the floor to shake your booty.

January 30 – The Mighty Duck Blues Band with guest Al Lerman


The Mighty Duck Blues Band
has been a sensation in St. Catharines for years.  The house band for the Golden Pheasant (aka the Duck) has kept St. Catharines rockin the blues Saturday afternoons and brought a multitude of blues aces to the Niagara Peninsula.

For the first time they’re coming to Hamilton for Saturday  Nite Blues at Jet Hall and they’re bringing a very special guest with them.  The Mighty Duck Blues Band features Gary Kendall (Downchild, Gary Kendall Band,  Kendall Wall Band) on bass,  guitarist Dave Curry, Canada Dave Torosian on keyboard, and Jim Casson on drums.  And you know it’s gonna be a blues party you won’t forget as they’re bring Al Lerman of Fathead with them.  You just know the dance floor will be pulsating with the blues.

Irene Torres & The Sugar Devils
are ready to set your world on fire.  Irene, one of the fastest rising stars in the blues world, has the voice to do it.  Backed by the Sugar Devils, Irene will bring you an evening of dance floor ready blues.

The band has already garnered many accolades including, winners of the 2012 Toronto Blues Society Talent Search.  2013 winners of the “Road To Memphis” competition, and  2014 Maple Blues nominees for best new band.

Their newest cd, “In The Details” features an eclectic mix of blues, soul and rock and highlights Irene as a talented lead vocalist.  This is their first Hamilton appearance so make sure you don’t miss out on this sizzling performance.
